Jelly Jars

This cup has been in my life since I can remember. It used to be that Mom would buy a jar of jelly and we'd have to wait for the marmalade to be gone before claiming our favorite cup. It was a daily battle amongst siblings in our home to see who got the last jelly sandwich. If Mom scraped the last sticky tidbit of jam out of this jar for you, that made a claim for victory to the jelly cup. Mom would hand you a magic marker and you could write your name on the jar. It was from that point on that the Jelly Jar was for your use only.

Now, as an adult, it is with a little smile to the past that I can sip on my coffee and drift back to the winners platform. But truthfully, sometimes you just need a cup with a handle!
